Have you often seen billions of posters all around you urging people to get rid of mosquitoes 'breeding in their homes?"...Strange right!...Who would breed mosquitoes in his/her home.Or modern architecture structures avail much to breed mosquitoes at all?Of course there may a toilet bowl with stagnant water unflushed or a pail of water unthrown.Yet Singapore is the home for trillions of dengue and chikunnya spreading mosquitoes.
How do they breed? We may ask this government. And typically this government would blame you me and your dog...The reality is its this government that breeds those pesky mosquitoes...Just observe.Everytime when there is a dengue outbreak in your neighborhood.Swarms of Old Malay workers would storm your neighborhood with long spoons sniffing every nook of the drain.Followed by fogging and etc.Which really has some effect of driving mosquitoes right into the dark corners of your homes....
But mosquitoes still live and breed happily ever after. How mah ?
Again observe.Observe the tuft of greenery surrounding you.Observe the tons of dead leaves that falls and collects water.Everytime it rains its the same ole story.Walk on any of the so called grass patches of empty lands that surrounds your home. You would notice patches of pools of water. Its there simply because the ground is uneven and a heaven for mosquito breeding..And observe too that a collection of dead leaves also are sites for mosquito breeding. This is the government responsibility and it does not own up to keep the green free from mosquitoes to breed..
Instead it urges people to empty the pail of water and not to throw aluminum can indiscrimately. In short blame the people-the usual political game.Folks how many of us Singaporeans still using pail in our daily life or how many of you could actually find an empty aluminum can lying on the ground without an auntie snatching it right before you finish?
Yeah lets blame the people and the mosquitoes...
