The problem with Singapore is that ... ... .... ... ...
The problem with Singapore is that "Head don't roll when things went wrong", the govt had became extremely protective to civil servants and GLC employees, especially those that are more senior. On many occasion, those that are sacked are mainly the lowest ranked staffs, as the seniority growth, the harder to get them to be answerable for any fault as a result of their mismanagement.
From Mas Selamat escape, to a parking fine appeal, nothing works in the citizens way, as the bulk of the population are still chinese educated born in 1960ties, many rules that are unfavorable to the general public are not challenged as the media often published news which are refined to side the govt.
The govt knowing that they are living in their Ivory Tower far from the average pleasant, and surrounded by businessmen who are not interested in politics but mainly their own business interests. Still refusing to accept the fact that businesses & politics are contradicting and conflicting to the interests of the general public. Many civil servant had master the art of "Fault Taiji Skill" and refusing to accept that truth that the current system are not in line with mother nature. And they got entangled with more business dealing.
Despite continual scrutiny, they got immune to public backlash and couldn't bother to reply in many occasions. Knowing that the peoples will not up rise against the governance, the govt just leave thing as it is.
I & many others will not challenge the govt, but I do hope to see them repent and reflect themselves in their heart.
