The Meaning of “Austerity”
Corbett Report
Tuesday, June 22, 2010
“Austerity” is one of those Orwellian terms that has been injected into our political discourse precisely because it is a nice-sounding word for a very painful reality. “Austerity” implies discipline, self-restraint, even nobility. “Austerity” is prudent. “Austerity” is modest. “Austerity” is a virtue. It is an end in itself.
If the IMF or the European Central Bank come to the people of a collapsing European nation and tell them to sacrifice their pensions and their savings and their very standard of living all for a debt that their government has fraudulently racked up in their name, no one would go for it, and rightly so.
But tell those same people that they need to implement “austerity measures” in order to “get back on their feet” economically, and many will be willing to live in the harshest of conditions, content to put up with the dismantling of their nation itself in the vain hope that by giving more power to the international financial institutions they can somehow avoid economic collapse.

Funny how they talk about “austerity”, yet everyone is pressured through advertising to buy plasma screen TV’s, iPads console games, mobile phones and broadband internet. Even then products are manufactured abroad to keep prices down.
The only place austerity can go to is onto salaries and pensions, but that will have the affect of driving prices down anyway – manufacturers will have to cut prices otherwise they won’t make sales.

Nice video, it hit the nail on the head.
We all wonder what the N.W.O. is. Who is or isn’t part of it. My belief is the N.W.O. is bankers and only bankers everyone else is on the outside even the dreaded bilderbergers are their unwitting tools. It’s like the saying goes follow the money. Well where dose the money come from? It doesn’t come from governments or corporations it comes from banks. Once created money owed plus interest, where is it owed? Banks.

Austerity for me means we garrote the banksters to save money cutting 6 feet of good rope…
Keep reminding people these are self-inflicted globalist bankster debts, not ours.
Today (here in the UK), 1/5 of the cost of everything I buy goes to taxes, with sales tax up from 17.5% to 20% come January. Think, that’s one whole fifth, and that’s after they already took 40% of all I earn at source.
If I take insurance – they tax it!
They tax me to watch tv
They tax me to drive a car
What the hell !!

This is not just an economic collapse. This is a collapse of society – ALL society – including the the financial industry, food supply industry, the medical industry, the “health” industry, the welfare system, the energy industry. The manufacting industry collapsed quite awile ago. The media lost it’s way a long time ago.

I think austerity is like wringing liquid money out of the wet towel of society. The people doing the twisting don’t care if they damage society. They intend to rebuild it in their image anyway.
