The message from 60% Sporeans is clear - when it comes to the crunch, they lure of 'asset enhancement' overides long-term good for their children and the welfare of their less privileged and struggling fellow Sporeans.
The Independence Day that we yearn for is not to come, at least not for another five years again. In the meantime, be prepared for the floodgate to foreigners to be reopened - and with greater vengeance. Expect the life of ordinary Sporeans to be harder. Expect more Sporeans and their children to be displaced and replaced by foreigners. Extinction will be the ultimate outcome. Expect the burden of life to be heavier as the FAP is allowed almost total freedom to up its sucking efficiency. Expect them to have put into motion constitutional changes to ensure that Sporeans will never again threaten one-party and one-family rule through say, giving foreigners voting power - as the 100,000 votes from the New Citizens have surely proven their worth. 7 May 11 marks the end of Sporeans.
