That's interesting to hear. Yes this issue will definitely be up for argument in the coming elections. With longer retirement age, that means employers will have some form of obligation to not terminate someone for being too old or even help re-employment. that's just my thoughts though.

But they can still collect a reduce pension if they choose to retire earlier.

But seriously, if we think our savings are enough, do we need to work until 67?
I think the most I go is 62 or earlier. I am worth 1 million now, housing, cpf,savings, everything.

If you speak to this 62 to 67 year old they will tell you they want to continue to work not that they needed, but it keeps them away from boredom... my director boss who just turned 63 this year are begging my company to extend his contract by another year and confessed to me he will just be bored at home
