There is a prophecy from ancient days regarding Thailand. It's called the White Crow Prophecy. Can you interpret the signs?

It was a coup de'tat; he wasn't executed but forced to abdicate and retire into monkhood. The abbot of the temple prophecied that the new Chakri dynasty would last nine kings. Today, King Bhumiphol Adulyudej is Rama IX (9th). When Thaksin Shinawatra first became PM some 10 years ago, the rumours of the prophecy revived circulation again, as Thaksin's name sounds similar to Taksin the Great.

If it ever ends then that's it right? It would be like the qing dynasty of china, last monarchy and thailand would become a republic.

Based on historical events and patterns, the transition from a mornachy to a republic had always been a bloody one, don't expect this one to be anything less

All that's known is Rama 8 is Rama 9's brother, not father. Rama was shot dead in his palace bedroom shortly after WW2. Then Rama 9 ascended.

I actually read on wiki about the chakri dynasty and read up on the murder of rama 8 which is unknown till this day. I read that rama 8 was rather a very shy person and didn't have the kingly persona.

Anyway both him and his brother have doctorates as they could afford to study overseas. Their family life is rather blessed.

Oh yes the current king has only 1 eye. He lost his right eye in an accident and his right eye is fake.

When i was taking history for my O levels like 14 years ago, the textbooks were pretty vauge on his death. 14 years later i still am none the wiser regarding his death. All i knew was he was dead mysteriously and very young
