Wrangled together by father-son pair William and Clement Tiang (word though, was Tiang Junior behooved Tiang Senior who had apparently fomented some darn puissant hae mee recipe during his pushcarting days of yore outside the now nonextant National Theatre to saisir la balle au bond, budged he eventually did), Fort Canning Big Prawn Noodle welcomed patrons beginning 18 October 2023 to its embryonic caff at Aljunied Avenue 2. Three others cropped up posthaste less than a year on - in Ang Mo Kio, Serangoon Central as well as Orchard Road. Fun fact: National Theatre presided atop Fort Canning Hill for over two decades (1963-1984), hence this purlieu figuring name-wise.
Imaginably, FCBPN's agenda revolves around the ignoble prawn noodle dish zhuzhed by choice of tobiko prawn balls, flower clams or kurobuta pork; desultory sundries like stir-fried kai lan/kang kong, vegetarian goose and even wu xiang meanwhile rear their heads too.
