Rejoice, dyed-in-the-wool, bread-and-buttered devotees of perdurable cult-fave Bakery Brera & Fine Foods, for at long last this boffo little boulangerie by one ever-complaisant Thrina Low (lamentably stashed away within the decidedly sequestered Empress Mall estate since being founded 7 years ago) has come to town. Humming along as part of Reunion@National Museum of Singapore - a social rialto that targets cognitively impaired seniors, Café Brera seats 25 on its carmine pink/steel teal bijou fief, outputting goods which propelled the original Brera to mini-stardom: artisanal loaves, pastries, viennoiseries, tartines, plus rather unexpected new entrants like curry chicken and Pulut Hitam.

Opened in early March, Café Brera operates daily from 9am-5pm.

What knocked our socks off:
Jesus Marimba, talk about the monolithic Home-Cooked Chicken Curry dish actually being so very peachy. Butyraceous, poignant as well as suitably inspissated with single phat tender drumstick, mealy potato hunks to boot, we tore through it all hippity hoppity quick. Although some companion cluck cluck part and another quarter quart of curry would certainly help make the steep price point more palatable.
