Illegal Immigration Issues in Arizona are Out of Control
-Consider this in 2006.
By Lance Winslow Platinum Quality Author

Many in Arizona are completely fed up with the inability of the United States Federal Government to patrol and police its borders and even the legal recent immigrants from Mexico are very angry at the inability of the US Congress to solve the problem.

I have discussed the issues with Mexican-Americans on the issues of Illegal Immigration in Tucson, Globe, Mesa, Chandler, Goodyear and Phoenix and all of them that I have spoken with either shook their heads and did not want to discuss it or were very upset at this issue calling them "wetbacks" a term used as some illegal aliens swam across the river border line to come to the US.

You know I had spoken with some folks at the College in Tucson, at Starbucks on Ina in Oro Valley, at It's a Grind in Marana, at Bookman's on Speedway and at the Borders Book Store on Oracle and all of them believe that illegal immigration is by far the most serious issue in Tucson and I understand they are going to have a May 1, 2006 Boycott coming up and a Protest Parade also there.

Yes, the problems in Tucson are severe, as it is a definite hotspot. Cars stolen from the Malls, drugs are intense there, as one police officer told me. Also several others working with various agencies some, of which did not disclose what exact agency. Even AZ prison workers and DPS officers at the coffee shops have told me just how bad it is and yet it is amazing how nice the town is and how well every thing runs considering 36-38% illegal aliens in Prison in AZ there and all the drugs, theft, gangs and etc also. The illegal immigration problem is out of control in Arizona. Consider this in 2006

The town of Bloomington, Indiana has announced
it will boycott Arizona because of their illegal immigration policy.

Bloomington, home to Indiana University's flagship campus,
last issued a boycott of the state in 1993 when its voters decided not to recognize Martin Luther King Jr. day.

The Indiana Daily Student has more on the current protest:

The boycott includes not sending city members to meetings in Arizona,
refusing to enter contracts with companies that are Arizona-based and
reviewing current contracts with companies in Bloomington whose corporate offices are in Arizona.

By stamping and sending a letter of intent to boycott, Bloomington joins the ranks of communities
including Boulder, Colo., Los Angeles, Seattle, Oakland, Calif., San Francisco, Boston and St. Paul,
Minn., that have also implemented boycotts against Arizona.

Arizona Immigration: Authorities Raid Sizzler Restaurants,
Arrest Undocumented Workers

| 06/12/10 10:45 PM | AP

PHOENIX — Sheriff's deputies raided two Sizzler steak house restaurants in Phoenix on Saturday,
arresting nine employees who are suspected of being illegal immigrants and using fraudulent documents to get jobs.

The raids were part of a yearlong investigation into whether the operators of the two Sizzler locations broke a
civil law by knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Lt. Brian Lee said in a statement.

Deputies were looking for 23 suspects wanted for identity theft, Lee said. Authorities believe one of the suspects
was deported three times and has been hired back by Sizzler each time he returned.

The sheriff's office received a tip from a former Sizzler manager who claimed he had been fired for his refusal
to hire employees without the proper documents, Lee said.

"This is another example of a case where desperately needed jobs are being occupied by illegal aliens who
have disregarded our laws and our borders," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said in the statement.

Arpaio, known for pushing the bounds for how local law enforcement agencies can confront illegal immigration,
frequently raids workplaces in the greater Phoenix area for people in the U.S. illegally.

A message left at one of the two restaurants wasn't immediately returned Saturday afternoon.
A manager at the other restaurant declined to provide his name and publicly comment on the raid.
