President Trump said on Friday that he would stop a plan by the Biden administration to phase out plastic straws across the federal government, saying they don’t work and it’s “BACK TO PLASTIC.”

“I will be signing an Executive Order next week ending the ridiculous Biden push for Paper Straws, which don’t work,” Mr. Trump posted on his Truth Social site.

Last year, the Biden administration ordered a phaseout of single-use plastic from the federal government’s food service operations, events and packaging by 2027, and from all other federal operations by 2035.

The insignificant nobody me guess that such a plan from PrezTrump is his approach to legislative laws - 'to bring back common sense', & in a way, to bring back the freedom of choice as well as scientists to find better ways to save our environment than dubious easy ways...

1. His plan does NOT restrict the CHOICE of Americans. One can still drink from a straw if one chooses to, as done from centuries of culture, to gently sip a drink, without cold ice cubes which usually stays on the top biting on one's lips or ingredients within a drink that may stain the lips, or even slipping thru the mouth wetting & staining one's mouth & even clothes. etc...

2. His plan ALSO does not take away the CHOICE of Americans whom are concerned about the harm done by plastics to our environment. One can still reject a straw if one wishes to, & the owner/seller of straws can always recycle those plastics for better use when the demand is not there.

3. His plan ALSO encourages manufacturers & researchers whom are concerned about our environment, to find better alternatives on the harm done by plastics, but at the same time to ALSO not restrict consumers choice & natural habits, eg - straws made with recyclable materials, etc....
