Former Thai leaders Yingluck, Thaksin visit ancestral village in Meizhou, Guangdong
Following trips to Beijing and Sichuan panda zoo, former Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her older brother Thaksin Shinawatra visited their ancestral village in Meizhou, Guangdong province on October 31,NetEase reported.
Yingluck and Thaksin, are fourth generation ethnic Chinese Thais originating from a family of Hakkas in Taxia village, Fengshun county of Meizhou city.
It's reported that Thaksin had visited their origin in Meizhou in 2005.
They are seen here with slips of paper bearing their names in Chinese.
