Teenager tatooed by bullies
CTS, Taiwan
Li showing the tattoos on his back
His hand has a swastika and some patterns while an arm has a cross. On Oct 19, the teenager - surnamed Li - bumped into a secondary schoolmate Liu, who used to bully and force him to pay protection money in the past. Then, Li was forced into a car by the ex-schoolmate, also 19, and was confined in a house for two days. It was during this time that Liu, together with two accomplices, inked the tattoos on Li's body. They also demanded a NT$6,000 "ang pow" from Li.
Li did not lodge a police report as he was worried that Liu would take revenge on him. On Wednesday, a friend met a policeman at a noodle shop and told him about Li's ordeal. Police carried out an investigation and arrested Liu and two others the next day. A cosmetic surgery clinic has offered to remove the tattoos from Li for free. However, it said the removal would leave behind some scars.
