INDIA - A 15-year-old boy set fire to six huts in an act of revenge after his neighbours complained about his behaviour to his father, Malaysia Nanban reported.
Police said the boy, who lived about 100km from Chennai, was mischievous and always fought with other boys who played with him.
The boy's father was upset that the parents of other children had often complained to him about his son's behaviour.
Last Thursday, he gave his son a severe beating.
Frustrated, the boy decided to burn down his neighbours' houses.
To avoid being caught, he alerted the residents about the blaze and even helped put out the fire.
Eventually, police investigations led them to the boy, who confessed to the crime. The boy has been placed at a home for juveniles.
