Former IBM Japan President Otoshi charged for taking up-skirt pictures

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police revealed today that Takuma Otoshi, the former president of IBM Japan, was charged earlier this month for taking pictures up a woman’s skirt. Officers from the Yostsuya Police Station say that 63 year old Otoshi was caught using an Apple iPod to take video and pictures of inside a female train commuter’s skirt. I guess it shows that even the former leaders of worldwide corporations can’t help themselves from taking part in Japan’s national pastime of criminal activities.
Police records say that around 8:00 AM on August 22nd, Ototshi was cited for violating Tokyo’s public nuisance ordinance by using his Apple iPod’s recording function to film up the skirt of a woman as she rode an escalator at the JR Yotsuya Station. A nearby male commuter is said to have witnessed what happened and told the station’s authorities. Investigators say once Otoshi’s iPod was checked, they found a number of incriminating pictures.
Otoshi admitted to his actions and for interest in “peeping style” photos. Having served as IBM Japan’s president from 1999 to 2008, Otoshi now worked for the company as a senior advisor. Spokespeople for IBM Japan say Otoshi has already submitted his resignation, and that they have no further information on the incident. Ouch. Hope those pics were worth throwing away your career for.
