It's clearly a slippery slope with this high pay thing. This slope leads down to a big pool of shit, which is where we are now. They will fight tooth and nail to hang on to their high pay, never mind everything else. Fuck them all. The 70% have created a monster.

Absolutely agree, the problem is not so much the high pay, but that you have a bunch of sycophants who are constantly stating the obvious and spouting motherhood statements, while collecting more money.

Also, having a couple hold hostage the politics and finances of a country... that won't end well.

You are right. High pay is not the issue here. INCOMPETENCE is the real issue.
Lack of co-ordination between ministries result in great waste.
But judging from the high pay scheme, it certainly has lock in a value for PAP. As for the general public, the Minister has been talking rot and giving out motherhood of all nonsense all these years.It's not how much you pay, it's how much value you get from paying that amount.
