Taxi driver jailed for indecent act on 14-year-old stepdaughter

The mother of the victim saw her husband committing an indecent act on the girl in 2009 but kept mum about it.
The 14-year-old also kept it a secret until April last year. That was when the secondary school student told her principal that her stepfather had acted inappropriately and the school lodged a police report.
On Wednesday, the 37-year-old part-time taxi driver was jailed for four months after pleading guilty to committing an indecent act with a child.
He cannot be named as it would lead to identification of the victim.
The district court heard that sometime in late 2009, the man asked the girl to give him a massage in his bedroom of their Choa Chu Kang flat.
