Khairkhwa then demanded that rich countries give the Taliban money in compensation for all the ‘climate change’ they inflicted on them. And that is what everything really comes down to.
Third world countries embraced the global warming hoax because it allowed them to demand cash from industrialized nations to subsidize the corrupt lifestyles of their elites. The Taliban grew rich on American foreign aid. And even after Biden’s retreat, over $2 billion in aid has been directed to Afghanistan. But that’s not nearly enough for the terrorist group running the country.
The deputy director of the Environmental Protection Agency of the Islamic Emirate Abdul Salam Haqqani, who shares a last name with the Al Qaeda Haqqani network running parts of Kabul, blamed global warming for destroying 3% of Afghanistan’s forests. The head of the global warming department at the Taliban’s EPA also wanted $20 billion to deal with the problem.
Before the Taliban takeover, nearly a billion dollars in assorted international ‘green’ projects had been promised, but not delivered. The Islamic terrorist regime would understandably like to get its hands on some of that money. For now millions of Euros are still being directed by the Europeans to ‘green’ projects in Afghanistan, but that’s far short of the billions the Taliban want.
According to a Taliban EPA official, “Afghanistan is the most affected country in the world from the bad effects of climate change. Therefore, it is the right of Afghanistan to help Afghans in the fight against climate change; While 32 Afghan projects in the field of climate change have been postponed by donor institutions, which should be started and implemented as soon as possible.”
The Taliban want to dig into the UN’s Green Climate Fund (GCF) with its fat billions and to gain access to the COP summits at which UN officials and green special interests trade the endorsement of their anti-industrial agenda for bribes. These bribes are how a global ‘consensus’ was manufactured that human industrial activity was destroying the planet.
International bodies have demanded that the Taliban stop harboring Al Qaeda and stop oppressing women to get access to the green goodies, but that would contravene Islam. Environmentalist figures like John Kerry have ignored China’s human rights violations in the name of global warming collaboration so why, the Taliban figure, should they be left behind.
Around the same time that the Taliban held their global warming conference, UN Secretary-General António Guterres hosted a summit of Afghanistan envoys at the home of the Islamic terrorist backers in Qatar.
UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, a Nigerian official under the Islamic regime of the former dictator Muhammadu Buhari, urged “baby steps to put us back on the pathway to recognition”.
A report by UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan Feridun Sinirlioglu, a diplomat from the Turkish Islamist terror state, issued a report in favor of “a method of engagement” that “acknowledges the political realities in Afghanistan today.” And the political realities according to Islamists and their UN allies require making deals with the Taliban on a variety of areas.
That includes “security cooperation” with an Islamic terrorist organization allied with Al Qaeda, and updating the sanctions list to “make the sanctions regime more relevant to current realities.”
But, most importantly, cooperation on “climate”.
