高雄一名59歲李姓婦人，3年前罹患重病還沒死，王姓同居人與兒子因照顧李婦身心俱疲，竟委託葬儀社將她載往殯儀館寄棺室等死，李婦兒子後來發現母親仍有呼吸，又接回家中照顧，李婦最後活了1年才辭世。高雄地院近日將李婦的83歲同居人王姓中藥舖商人及李婦兒子，分別依共同遺棄、遺棄直系尊親血親等罪，將這對父子各判6月、7月徒刑，緩刑2年。

判決書指出，李婦30年前29歲時就與83歲王男同居並產有1子，李女身體不好，1994年就因糖尿病、腎臟病，歷經多次住院治療，右腳3根腳趾截肢，每星期還得洗腎3次，2009年李婦又第一次中風，長期住院，都是王翁以及他和李婦所生的兒子「阿明」輪流在照顧李婦，身心疲累不堪。
2015年4月8日，李婦第二度中風，且醫生評估李婦患有糖尿病、高血壓、左足部骨髓炎，需要進行清創手術，若手術效果不佳恐需截肢，但王男父子以不願李婦繼續承受病痛之苦及擔憂李女未來恐將截肢等理由，竟於同月18日幫李女辦理出院，並託黃姓葬儀社業者將李女載往寄棺室等死。
雖然事後李婦兒子於寄棺室發現母親仍有呼吸，又將母親接回家中照顧，沒想到，李女又活了近1年，直到2016年5月3日才往生。王男父子因此遭檢方依共同遺棄等罪起訴。高雄地院審理後認為，王姓父、子2人是因一時失慮才觸法，且王父另有6子女，還要照顧罹有精神病的女兒，將王男父子分別依共同遺棄罪、共同遺棄直系尊親血親等罪，各判6月、7月，緩刑2年。
