[Taiwan Video] - BMW driver momentarily lost control of car in rain but masterfully regains control

These european car tyres are way too wide for our rain.
I had mine standard at 275 and in heavy rsin it was like a motorboat. Changed for 255, nit so sporty but definitely a lot safer.

I thought wide tyre is more stable ?

Wide tyres are always better road holding but your tyres tread depths must be deep.

if left 35% or lesser then it’ll ‘float’ in rain.

This real world test says otherwise.

In wet handling, predictably, the wide tires did not perform well. Hydroplaning plagued both of the setups with the 285s in the rear, while the car performed the best while wearing 255s at all four corners.
