【星島日報報道】台灣屏東市的愛心人士去年在當地創辦一家愛心麵館，專門提供給有需要的人士免費食用，但在經營一年後，本月底被逼關門。發起人之一的林群雄說，才一年就被白白吃掉近兩萬碗、約一百萬元（新台幣）的「待用麵」，有人濫用資源，天天來吃，還打包回家，只能關門。

自由電子報報道，「待用制」源自於歐洲的咖啡店，以好心人多付錢少領食物來維持經營，給有需要的窮人免費提供食物。屏東里長林群雄與親友集資二百五十萬元，去年十一月開設一家名為「春風滿麵」的愛心麵館，引用「待用制」，一碗麵只賣五十元，若有弱勢人士需要則不收費、提供一餐溫飽。

因免費食用沒有限制任何身分，只要有人領用，店家就給，不料竟導致愛心被濫用。有人天天上麵館食用不付錢，還有人要求打包回家，在現場引起爭執。

「去年開張以來，已發出近兩萬碗免費麵，決定本月底收攤，沒能撐到原先預定的兩年。」林群雄說，這家麵店宗旨不是為賺錢，而是為傳遞愛心，但在被濫用資源及管理不善的情況下，做出關門決定，將把資源用到其他地方。

Chinks and asiatics are notorious for their freeloading attitudes. Those 'pay it forward' cafes won't survive long in asiatic societies. In the civilized west, notices have to be printed in asiatic languages to instruct tightfisted asians that tipping is required. There should also be a blanket ban on instant noodles. I've seen too many cases of cash rich asiatics eating only instant noodles to save money but seem rich enough to splurge on designer bags and watches.

The sad part is, such recurring instances worldwide (though as JohnTan pointed out, there is a statistically significant geo-regional correlation) are the consequence of the vast majority of 'customers' being well-to-do people eating away (prolly even da-baoing) but yet refusing to pay at all (not even the minimum cost to defray costs or break even), and not because of genuinely poor people who can't afford to pay, who are in the minority.

it's the same chink behavior in sf chinatown. when glide memorial church gives away goodies to the needy and downtrodden during christmas, majority in line are chinks from chinatown. these chinks can easily afford these goodies on their own, but because they are free must show up to grab them as fast as possible. some go back for seconds and thirds. in any "free" giveaways in sf, chinks dominate the lines.

when chink freeloaders are asked to volunteer in the next giveaway, none of them shows up.

when chink freeloaders are asked to attend church voluntarily as part of their gratitude for getting freebies, none shows up.

but when giveaways happen during thanksgiving and christmas, you can bet chinks from chinatown will be there. their children are well educated and working in highly paid professions in medicine, law, tech jobs.
