JOHOR BARU - Police have crippled a drug syndicate here which mixed anxiety treatment pills with ketamine to give addicts an extra kick, said state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Shariff.
This was discovered by police after they raided a house which had been turned into a drug-processing lab in Taman Desa Harmoni, he said, adding that 1,980 atarax pills were found.
Police believe the syndicate had also been making fake Ecstasy pills.
Police also seized a number of tools used by the syndicate to make 2.7kg of ketamine, 2kg of powder believed to be Ecstasy, 970 Ecstasy pills and 740 Eramine 5 pills.
DCP Mohd Mokhtar said three suspects, including a woman, aged between 35 and 39, were arrested.
