Suspect caught for trying to rob woman in Henderson Crescent

SINGAPORE: Police arrested a 32-year-old suspect who tried to rob a woman around Henderson Crescent.
The victim, a 31-year-old woman, was walking home at about 2am on 6 March when the suspect allegedly came from behind, punched her in the face and grabbed her handbag.
The victim resisted and cried for help.
Unable to overcome the victim's strong resistance, the suspect fled empty-handed.
Police established the identity of the suspect and arrested him in Clementi Avenue 5 on 8 March.
Early investigations showed that he could have committed a similar case of robbery in Henderson Crescent.
He'll be charged in court on Saturday with Robbery with Hurt.
