People scrambled to supermarket last night when our leader mentioned about buying eggs from Ukraine. Apparently, these people cannot think like businessmen. I also know we can buy fish from Falkland Islands. The point is that it is not practical and Ukraine's European neighbours and China can do the same. Do you think we can outbuy China and EU?

Secondly, citing such bad example over an essential (eggs) hint that eggs-supply will be hit. During panic hoarding, Malaysia fresh-producers will be obliged to supply their domestic market first. While Malaysia allow freight trucks to continue to move to Singapore, do you think that the newly-formed Malaysian government will let us outbuy their domestic voters?

Next, Malaysia ordered businesses to close except groceries-related, gov, postal, etc. Even if food processors are exempted and allowed to open, there is no one delivering the packing materials to the food processors. Likewise for daily necessities, most of our toilet rolls and tissues are from Malaysia, now these plants in Malaysia will be closed temporarily.

Muhyiddin will regret coming up with this stupid lockdown order. Its detrimental to their business. Totally unnecessary. No deaths. Just a few hundred infected so far. Most were from the mosque that held the "tabligh" gathering.
Tabligh followers are mostly indian or Bangladeshis. That may include illegal workers who maybe reluctant to go for covid testing.

Singapore Faces Bigger Contraction as Malaysia Shuts Borders
https://www.bloombergquint.com/glob...-bigger-contraction-as-malaysia-shuts-borders

Maybank Kim Eng Research Pte. estimates that about 400,000 Malaysians working and studying in Singapore cross the border on a daily basis. The potential hit to the city state’s economy could therefore be large. The cut-off also threatens to pummel food supplies in Singapore, which relies on Malaysia for a substantial volume of fruits and vegetables.

This morning, wet market also got raided.
Where is General Chan again?
Those people need scolding.
This morning my domestic helper told me the chicken all sold out at wet market 8am
Those queue infront people purchase 5 whole chicken pack each.
Hahahaha

Forget about the economy. First priority is to stay alive. What good is money if you are dead?

I don't recommend stocking up fresh produce. Our fridge size is limited.

Consider those with good shelf life, eg. chicken of the sea (canned tuna), biscuits, noodles, vitamin C tabs, canned food and milk powders (adults also can take), etc.

If Singapore had remained a fishing village it would not be having all the problems it is facing now.

Spot on! I miss those days in the 1800s when I took my little sampan out to sea to cast my nets. The sea was bountiful.

Super! I go to Gills Fishing first, then if not enough will go to AhYat Grandstand.

Will also need to don my camo outfit and get ready to hunt a few wild boars tonight. Busy, busy!!

Yes, can find wild boars a few LRT away and along the way when you walk out of marina country club to LRT, you can also hunt for wild dogs.

If you are lucky, you can spot big water monitor lizards at pier next to Gills fishing. These three animals all very good tonics.

Lovely! Thank you for all the useful information bro. See, we can easily live off the land. No need for stupid supermarkets!
