We all know cats are masters of stealing the show. They’re cute, cuddly, and always up to something entertaining.

But a recent incident in Penang took this to a whole new level, proving that even in the midst of chaos, a cat can still be the star of the show.

The video that captured the whole thing shows the two men, both Indian, having a heated exchange with the Chinese shop owner. Things escalated when the shop owner suggested they settle the argument “1 by 1,” which one of the men, wearing a white shirt, agreed to.
The argument quickly turned physical, and the two men began brawling inside the shop.

Penang cat wanted to know the tea too

But what really caught everyone’s attention wasn’t the fight itself—it was a cat that seemed incredibly interested in the drama unfolding.

This cat wasn’t just a bystander. It watched the fight intently, almost like it was a spectator at a wrestling match. At one point, the cat even tried to get closer to the action, clearly wanting a front-row seat to the brawl.

The fight didn’t stay inside for long. It spilled outside, and one of the men was seen using his motorcycle helmet to hit the shop owner on the head.

Eventually, another person stepped in to break up the fight after one of the brawlers ended up on the ground.

As you might expect, the internet had a field day with this one. Commenters couldn’t get enough of the cat’s antics.
“Move over, I want to watch.”

Some joked that the cat looked like a busy journalist, given how intently it was watching everything.

Curious netizens also dug up more info about the mini market and its owner. Turns out, the shop owner is known to be a nice guy and even a taekwondo instructor. Plus, they found a bunch of photos of customers posing with the now-famous cat.

The chink surprisingly can fight pretty well the ah neh too weak

The two by standers honoured the one on one fight. The Indian guy asked for it and he got it.
Plus the good point. They all spoke the national language.

Go ppl shop disturb! Chinese store owner should used a hammer.

Last week, the video that shows a fist fight between a store owner in Penang and a customer went viral, and PDRM detained both parties following the circulation of the video.

The store owner was also revealed to have been a Taekwondo champion during the 90s, and the customer who lost all 3 rounds of the 1-on-1 has broken the silence and told the story from his side.

“He has a black belt in Taekwondo, I have a black belt in Karate”

In a viral TikTok explanation video, the customer said he went to the store with his friend and when he was browsing through the items, the store owner asked him,

“What are you looking at?”

The man was shocked by that and told the owner that he wanted to buy some things.

“I asked him, why did he ask me that question? He was unhappy and asked if I wanted to get into 1-on-1 with him. As a man, do you really expect me to run away when someone asks me for 1-on-1?”

He admitted that he was drunk on the day, which he apologised for, and said that while the store owner has a black belt in Taekwondo, he knows martial arts too.

“I have a black belt in Karate. If I wasn’t drunk, I would’ve beaten him.”

Near the end of his explanation, the man urged Malaysians to STOP circulating the videos, and said that “Indians should support Indians.”

“I’m not a celebrity, why would you want to spread the video? Those who circulate the video have no life. Please don’t do anything that doesn’t bring you benefits. I’m sorry once again.”

Earlier, the store owner revealed that he was asked by the customer to get him a can of beer, to which a misunderstanding happened after that. The video explanation with translation is also circulating on Reddit.
