They are trying to create a soft landing for the harsh budget speech coming Jan 09. As usual, you will hear a monotonous tone from Thaman and other cronies that all help measures are put in place and our reserve (aka CPF) remain locked for their own good. Things that we heard before and they never get tired repeating. What can you expect from a highly priced empty shell.

CDCs are MIW showcases.Help a little must blow up to let the whole world know.Even when u registered at the CDC career centre as a job seeker,the
so-called CBL CD career consultants will talk alot and tell u that u still have to look for a job yourself and they may not be able to help u as the jobs may not be available.So where all the jobs go to ??? LPPL.No wonder some job seekers scolded the CDC career consultants (civil servants) for giving them false hopes

What is the criteria now by CDC to give out assistance?, I had enquired for a down & out friend during the Asian Financial Crises, that was in 1998. A combine family income of 4 for $800, before any help...comes!:(

But, you have connections ( otherwise known as guanxi) or you a member ( member lah!) of the 'PARTY', then it is a different thing.

Without that 'mark'..hah hah hah...you can be sure that 'it won't come easy'...'got to pay your dues, before you sing your blues'...
