sorry to hear about your loss. i'm waiting for more bad news after the lny...for me...it's going to be retrenched with no benefits...on contract. so more time for sammyboys now...anyway best of luck.hope you find a new job soon.

Any available vacancies now are those jobs that are too shit to bear that people kept resigning. You may spot jobs that have been advertising indefinitely throughout the year from the same company or firm. Be warned and apply at your own risk. If you believe you can change the boss mindset, than by all mean send in your applications.

those who "upgraded" a couple of years back were the first to be asked to go last year. now, u ask them to go retrain to join another industry again??? if it didnt work the first time, would u trust it now???

Study your strength and skill sets to determine how you could use them to set up a small business? Dun under estimate your strength. Rather than listen to other craps like upgrading yourself?
Unlike the moron (link below) tried to con others. He was fired from job and job, and no choice, sign up a 5 years bond with WDA to be a nurse. Attend course for the first 2 years with only allowance - about $900 per month.
If you have to suffer for first 2 years, might as well start your own business, work hard and suffer for the first 2 years. On the 3rd year, you will get your rewards PROVIDED you really work hard for it!! This way, it is better than signing up with WDA.
