Starhub’s web SMS does not work with their iPhones

After sending 2 long SMSes using Starhub’s WebSMS service on the iPhone, the message box is full and subsequent messages are not displayed in the message box, says annoyed STOMPer Suyi.

In an email to STOMP today (Dec 15), the STOMPer says:

“One of the main reasons of me buying the iPhone is to use Starhub's WebSMS service by using the Safari internet browser.

“Unfortunately, Starhub's WebSMS does not work well in an iPhone environment.

“After sending 2 long SMSes using Starhub's WebSMS service, the message box is full and subsequent messages will not be displayed in the message box.

“I will not be able to view any other new message after the message box is filled up. Refer to the picture, I have circled the name in red to indicate that all I need is to do is to send 2 long SMSes to fill up the message box.

“With Starhub's launch of the iPhone and many people rushing to buy the iPhone, I hope Starhub can at least make its websites and applications compatible and user-friendly for the phones they are trying hard to sell and market.

“I've also called Starhub's customer service hotline several times but none of them are able to provide me with any solutions yet (worst when their call centre is not local and I have to speak to foreigners about my issue and not so sure if they understand where the problem lies).”
