Japan woman killed after 2 million dollars lottery win.
TOKYO (AFP) - - Japanese police arrested a man who allegedly killed a woman after she won two million dollars in the lottery, police said Thursday.
Police said they arrested newspaper deliveryman Jinichi Kumagai, 51, for allegedly killing Hisako Yoshida. Some media reports said the two were dating. Shortly before disappearing, Yoshida reportedly won 200 million yen (2.05 million dollars) on a lottery ticket and is believed to have cashed it out. She went missing in 2005 immediately after ordering a new car, the Sports Nippon newspaper said. Police reportedly grew suspicious after finding the dead woman's bankbook at Kumagai's former home. They said Kumagai confessed and led them to her body, which was found Wednesday. She was 42 years old when she died.
