Foreign hirings: Tag quota to older workers

I REFER to yesterday's front-page article ('100,000 foreign workers needed: PM').
I am 66 years old and have been a human resource professional for about 30 years.
I have lost count of the number of job applications I have sent to companies.
I am still fit. I have not taken a day of medical leave for the past 20 years.
I need a job, not so much for the salary as I have adult children who are doing well in their careers, but to keep me active and engaged.
But sad to say, if you are above 50, your application will probably be thrown into the wastebasket, given the mindset of most companies.
I am sure with my years of working experience, I might be able to impart my knowledge to younger workers.
To change employers' mindsets, the Government could create a quota caveat in allowing foreign hirings by requiring companies to hire a certain number of workers past retirement age.
