Boyfriend was injured and apologised at the funeral​

Relatives and friends gathered at the funeral, where a motorcycle was placed near the hall possibly as a tribute.

The boyfriend, who was injured in the crash, attended the funeral in a wheelchair to apologise to the family.

After the accident, he was taken to Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital in Kulai, Johor, where he was treated for a broken leg before returning to Singapore for further care.

When approached by Shin Min reporters, he declined to speak.

"He just said sorry to us," Xu said, sighing as he added that things had already happened and could not be changed.

Tay’s body is set to be cremated at the Mandai Crematorium on Dec. 14.
