U mean the lack of FTs? :P

But seriously, this is a U23 competition. The average age of our boys is 19. Which means most of them are under the age of 21. This is a team for the future. I don't see any problem with it, a team this young but still managing to squeeze into the semis of a U23 competition is something to be proud of

I'll tell you the REAL reason why the Vietnamese won. They ate a lot of pork for energy & protein.
Msia better watch out in the final.

Hahahahaha my sentiments! Just look at the physique of some of the Vietnamese players!

They have been pumping iron, makes me wonder what our boys have been doing. All the money and equipment at their disposal, they have no freaking excuses.

You can take the man out of the kampong, but you can't take the kampong out of the man

Do remember the Vietnamese are under 23 as well.

Underage is no excuse for underperforming.

You also seem to forget that as the U23 Singaporeans develop, so will the U23 Vietnamese or Malaysians or Thais, etc. If every team develops henceforth at the same pace, (but knowing SG, they will probably cock up along the way), the end result in future will still be the same.

You should see how the whole country celebrates everytime they win a game. Conveys of motorbikes consisting of total strangers who formed on the streets flying the Vietnamese flag, people taking cooking pots from their homes as makeshift drums, etc. The atmosphere is fantastic. Pure joy and total spontaneity.

In SG, everything is staged and organized by the government. Even when we win, we need FTs to do it for us. I'm not surprised at all that SG will continue to be losers in the sporting arena unless they turn to FTs rejected by their own countries.
