i don't know the guy personally but my friend said a lot of people kena caught during last october selloff after lehman bankruptcy and a lot of unwinding to meet margin calls

Lets not forget these are the same speculators that made tons of $$$ during the booming years so the losses may not be much to them, moreover they also contribute to the rising prices & bubble....:p

My campmate's cousin bought a landed house in Braddell Estate during the peak in 97. Then found out the house was haunted. In the end had to sell at loss more than $300K. Today the house is torn down and rebuilt.

Not sure if those people did a thorough cost-benefit analysis

I remember he said the dirty things made it very suay for them and even the family business was affected

For $300k he could have demolished & build a new place himself
If a Medium/Priests could have succeeded, it would have only cost a few $k.

Fully understand how he must have felt as we are already haunted by an old mans policies$$$

Your campmate's cousin don't know. Supposedly told once, haunted house, must tear down to the ground and expose the land for 49 days, then start rebuilding. I supposed the new buyer knows:o
