Our small country is overcrowded, far too expensive, most homes are claustrophobic, owning a car is now a pipe dream for 90% of the population, foreigners are given preferential treatment, we are overworked and the quality of life is low.

I was a young parent 20 years ago, and thought a car was a necessity then having to shuttle my 3 children from home to their grandparents' residence, kindergarten and primary school early in the morning. Many of those trips were carried out during heavy rain when getting a cab would have proven futile.
