I just heard from a passenger who became a PR here,sobbing stories of how some mainland teachers were conned into coming over,paying ten of thousands of dollars for the agent fee,jointly operated by Sinkies and Chinamen. Some even sold thier ancestral homes just to some to Singapore.

They were promised good paying jobs and end up working as dish washers and slogging at least 12 hrs a day. We may scold them for breaking people's families and prostituting themselves. But think again,who is the real culprit?It's their agent in China...rite?

Nope blame must also be attributed to the Singapore Agent as well and especially the Singapore Immigration Dept for sleeping on the job. After all Singapore is supposed to be a highly trust worthy establishment (personally of late no thanks to the useless idiots in charge it is just nothing more than a high class Nigerian scam when it comes to certain things).

Isn't that what happened to our forefathers 100 years ago when they came to Nanyang for the gold mine.

Actually Chinese immigrants were conned to San Fran and Australia for the gold rush. The Chinese coolies who came to Nanyang was supposed to work in tin mines - a conductive metal vital for industrialisation. And later rubber for tires...

And teachers of what quality? If farmers and KTV girls I believe, infact they think we sinkies eat western food for every meal. Either the teachers are goons, naive, never heard of the internet and dont know how to check for employment prerequisites....luckily they dont end up teaching here
