Snake catcher films epic fight between two snakes

A Brisbane snake catcher has filmed rare footage of two carpet pythons in a marathon fight.
Bryan Robinson filmed the clash in a backyard at Graceville and posted the video on the company's Facebook page this week.
The wrestling reptiles began the clash on the roof of a house before rolling into the backyard where Mr Robinson eventually broke up the three-hour battle.
"It's not commonly seen," he told News Corp.
"Usually when we do see it it's because they're up in someone's roof banging around like crazy in the middle of the night and people think someone's trying to come in through the roof.
"Then they stick their head up there and it's two carpet snakes having a bit of a biff."
Carpet pythons are not generally an aggressive snake, and it was possible the fight could have ended with fatal consequences.
"I have seen some serious injuries when one male is bigger than the other, but these two were pretty much identical size and weight and that's why the wrestle went on for so long," he said.
"They'd been smacking around on top of the roof of the house and ended up falling off the roof on to a nearby shrub and going to ground.
"They'll battle it through until someone backs off and concedes and slithers away.
"They weren't going to let it up so I just caught them both and put them in separate bags otherwise they would've just kept fighting in the bag."
