I read chinese news paper yesterday about this man trying to sell his homemake cake. He would transact with his customers by passing the food at the gate without having to come out of the ticketing gate but MRT staff threatened to fine him $2000. Is this fair to someone who wanted to make a living by imposing laws and fines on him? Is it guilty for a businessman wanting to try and cut down his operations expenses? OUr Singapore govt is not gracious at all because every time they said something about helping the citizens, they mean money out of us. What if this happened to students with limited pocket money and our transport fares are so high?

Hawking is illegal to begin with in the first place, so why are you bringing this up?

If he really wants to sell his homemade cakes, at least get some form of approval. If he is not able to get any approval, at least sell in another place where you will not be able to be harassed by any SMRT staffs, or any other staffs in this case.
