<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I AM disappointed with Singapore Post's Speedpost service.
There have been many instances when my wife and I have arranged for re-delivery of Speedpost items. As we both work full time, we frequently have to take leave just to wait for the postmen to drop off the items.
As usual, whenever we arrange for a re-delivery, the SingPost customer service officers would promise to have the parcel or document delivered on a certain day and time. Imagine our frustration and dissatisfaction when time and again the postmen fail to deliver the items as promised, or fail to arrive at all.
The latest case is the last straw. I had arranged with two SingPost customer service officers on Oct 9 for the re-delivery of a parcel of books. Both customer services officers promised that the parcel would arrive last Friday between 2pm and 6pm. My wife took leave and stayed at home to wait.
But the postman never appeared. When we called SingPost, they claimed that a re-delivery was never arranged.
There have been other recurring errors. Delivery advice slips were sometimes left carelessly at the gate or slipped halfway under the door. This often resulted in the slips being blown away by the wind, or even displaced by other items in the mail.
I believe SingPost customers would expect Speedpost items to be delivered punctually and speedily. Failing that, at least keep to the promise of re-delivery.
