First it was Ice cream, then teddy bears, and then fish and eggs.

While PAP party members roll in riches and can give out goodies during election, Opposition candidates often struggle even for their campaign fees and other expenses.

This is what is wrong in Singapore. What led to this disparity in the first place?

Is it better to give a man a fish or teach him how to fish? Or dare I say, provide the conditions for proper fishing?

There are many things wrong in our country today and let's start by taking responsibility. Let's start by not being "bought" with goodies.
Politics at this level is a disgrace for those giving them out and an insult to the voters. It suggest that we the people can be easily bought and there is no need to engage in policy conversations.

Give goodies to your opposition candidates supporting you instead. Support genuine candidates who have a heart for change and courage to voice out. Donate to their campaign. They need it to continue doing the difficult work of campaigning and speaking out and most importantly to Vote them out.

Shouldn't we be the ones to give our candidates eggs, fish and ice cream and not the other way round?

We need to return power back to the people.
