A man was found dead this morning in a rubbish chute.
The body, believed to be a man in his 40s to 50s, was found by a cleaner this morning at Blk 55, Lengkok Bahru, in the Redhill area.
According to the Omy.com website, the man's body sported injuries, and was found with his head in the rubbish and his legs sticking out from the black chute bin on the ground floor.
The man is believed to have landed in the ground floor bin after falling through the rubbish chute from a high floor.
Nearby residents told reporters that the man is married to a Chinese national woman. Some speculate that the man may have been pushed into the rubbish chute "not of his own accord".
At least four police vehicles were spotted at the scene cordoning off the area and retrieving the body.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the case.
