结霜桥摊贩被捕追踪：当兵摔坏脑袋　留学生摆地摊

前日被警方逮捕的结霜桥摊贩身世坎坷，他曾在当兵时意外摔坏脑袋，致使他原要到英国大学深造的美梦也为此破灭，最后为了生活在跳蚤市场摆地摊。

《新明日报》昨日报道，结霜桥摊贩唐文昌（37岁）因和抢位霸位的摊贩起冲突，报警后却恫言要打警察，结果被逮捕。

唐文昌昨日受访时，承认自己是癫痫病病患，病情时好时坏，不能被激怒。唐先生声称没有要打任何人的意思，他只是要警方来现场为他讨回公道，但警方帮不了他，他一气之下才会被激怒。

他也声称被捕的过程中，他的上衣被扯破两个洞，右手小手指和左边膝盖也受了轻伤。

唐文昌的母亲（70岁）告诉记者，儿子在警局呆了6小时录口供，才得以回家。她无奈地说，儿子原本有着大好的前程，但95年当兵时发生意外，结果摔坏脑袋，导致智力一直停留在16岁的阶段。

This is really fucked up! if this guy have suffered brain damage due to National Service, the Singapore Armed Fucking (forces), must be in charge of the injury. At least assign this poor dude a job that can be done for him, at least to sustain himself. Make SAF pay for the injuries... and manage their risk of injury, and get a fucking actuary to package a national service insurance package! come on lah, although there is not so many actuaries in singapore, can always ask some FTs to package such risk mangement products... make SAF pay for it.

you are absolutely correct. Someone i know did his NS in the commandos. Got boarded out not too long before ORD after damaging his knee from a routine parachute jump. Knee still give problems but now he bears the medical costs himself.

According to certain women in Singapore though, all the injuries are due to our own fault and negligence.
We guys who did NS does not have any right to talk or bitch about it. We should all pay for the injuries
ourselves as this is duty.

Thats from someone who does not have to serve a single day of NS. Don't tell me about women who
volunteered asa regular, its very different when one is conscripted and another who wants to "serve"
the country.

If one example of someone who got injured for the country isn't enough for you, please don't bring up the
case of one single woman in combat vocation. For every woman you can find, i can find you 10 guys who
injured themselves or sacrificed for the country. Please stand up and be counted for those who keep on
laughing and dissing guys who did NS. Foreigners and women, CMPB is in a very central location.

So what if its air-con bus now, thats just the front end to allay parents anxieties. There ain't no air con in the
