Be wary of emails coming from 'SingNet' that ask for your sensitive personal information like your account password, said SingTel on Tuesday afternoon.
The questionable email masquerades as an official memo from the service provider, and asked users to provide their password within five days or have their accounts shut down.
'Please note that these emails are part of an illegal phishing scam to obtain customers' personal information and passwords.
They are not issued by SingNet or SingTel, and we advise our customers to ignore them,' said the statement on Facebook.
The telco advised users to ignore unfamiliar emails and exercise caution when providing personal particulars for competitions, lucky draws, surveys and feedback forms.
