Considering that Pinky did very well in the last erection and that people keep voting for the PAP. There will be people who believe in LHL and PAP. Those who are not suffering and enjoying a good life will support them as they do not see a need to change things. They view the situation differently from us, they drive sports cars while average singaporeans are taking congested public transports.
