Singaporean family complain that guard "expose" his family to seedy side of Orchard .

Guard 'exposed' my young family to shady side of shopping centre in Orchard Road - Today, 12:02 AM
OK folks,


I'm going to related an incident where a shopping centre security guard (possibly unintentionally) exposed my young kids to the shady deals of one of the shopping centres along Orchard Road.

It was near closing time, so the guard did not let us in to take the lift (which we had used when we first parked there)

So he told us we had to use this other adjacent building to get to our floor.
walk one big round to get to that place.
& walk right into what I would describe as 'a branch of Orchard Towers'. ladies, local & foreign dressed in short revealing clothing, trying to get guys to go drinking with them.
they were just hanging all over the place, leaning over & looking
for the men who were making their up to them.

Being the 'mountain turtle that I am, I've personally never being there after dark, so it was an eye opener.

But that guard really, he should have known & made a concession to shield the young ones from these shady ongoings.

This person is really a mountain tortoise... if you want to really shield your kids, then take them out so late... notice she said it was near closing time (assuming it's past 12mn). What are they doing there so late?
Additionally, along the same lines, if the kids were to switch on the TV and see a hot steamy bedroom scene... being the mountain tortoise that she is, will she complain to the MediaCorp dept because they allow such scenes to be broadcasted? That is so dumb!
Sooner or later, her children is going to have to grow up! Another 10-15 years down the road, her son will go NS and start watching porn even before that. Her daughter will also become like that and she will probably be humped by some horny kid in school, like Tammy!

I saw this original thread in Asiaone forums.

Contrary to the natural conclusion, he is NOT referring to Orchard Towers.

This chap is a hopeless coward who is coy to reveal what building he is referring to - his latest addtion is that 'it is building lower down Orchard Rd, near Istana & near entrance to CTE'... Other forummers there ask him to spare people the suspense, but he remained mum on the exact location.

Is he referring to Hotel Grand Central or the Concorde Hotel (previously Meridien) ?

knn, pity his kids - with parents shielding them from real life, they are enriching their DNA with kiasuism & kiasi-ism.
