No way to prevent under-18s from buying 'self-service' lottery tickets

This Scratchit! ticket dispensing machine, which is available at various locations across Singapore, might become a cause for underage gambling, says STOMPer Daniel.

Daniel is curious as to how Singapore Pools is going to carry out checks on consumers of the new self-service ticket machine.

If no checks are in place, it would be very easy for children and young people under the age of 18 to buy a Scratchit! ticket.

In an email dated August 20, STOMPer Daniel says:

“Singapore Pools recently introduced the Scratchit! ticket dispensing machine, which is available at many locations.

“Just how do they ensure that children and kids under 18 cannot buy them?”

They should install this at every major food courts like KOPITIAM...sure sell like hotcakes...

Easy lah! to check for age..just install a finger print reader linked to ICA, it will confirm your age.
