Minister : We know there many gaps in service delivery as cases rose exponentially & expected rise further. Rest assured SAF pouring resources quickly
The SAF was asked to provide assistance to Ministry of Health, Singapore’s Home Recovery Program (HRP), for those infected with COVID-19. Knowing that the success of the HRP is crucial to Singapore’s ability to live with an endemic virus, the SAF responded willingly and is now in the thick of action.
We know that there are many gaps in the service delivery, as cases rose exponentially and are expected to rise further. Rest assured, that the SAF is pouring resources quickly to improve the situation in many aspects. More phone lines and Home Buddies have been set up; better coordination with telemedicine providers and grassroots support with People's Association. As various groups pull together, the goal is clear. We want residents to know and be reassured that they are being watched over carefully while recovering at home, and that they can get ready and quick access if they need help. If the majority of infected patients report a good and safe experience recovering at home, as they should, then our hospitals and COVID-19 Treatment Facilities can focus on the elderly or vulnerable who need treatment there. The success of these programmes are critical in allowing Singapore to open up further.
