PAP Grassroots Leader Prakash Kumar Hetamsaria was one of those who testified at the Fake (News) Select Committee where he called for social media sites that publish fake news three times in a row to be shut down.

In the submission found on the Parliament’s website, Hetamsaria is described in rarefied terms as someone who “has always been committed to foster a feeling of togetherness and belonging among the locals and immigrants.”

Originally from India, he took up S’pore citizenship in 1999.

Incidentally, Hetamsaria is CFO at Sumida International Pte Ltd which appears to be dominated by foreign nationals from his former country.

Is it because locals eschew his industry or there are not enough competent ones for him to hire?
