SINGAPORE - Three students who were brewing beer in a hall in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) were stopped after the school found out about it.

Campus newspaper Nanyang Chronicle said in an article on Monday (April 9) that Mr Rahul Immandira, Mr Heetesh Alwani and Mr Abilash Subbaraman brewed the beer in NTU's Binjai Hall.

"Binjai Brew, their self-titled brand, was unexpectedly well-received," the Chronicle article said. "But after their 10th batch in February and spending almost $2,500, they were asked to stop their brewing activities. They received notice that they were violating Singapore laws by brewing on NTU grounds and selling the beer."

I am not surprised their beer was well received. Micro breweries usually come up with very nice beer. It is against the law only because they did not pay liquor tax

NTU is lucky that none of its students have been poisoned by the keling's home brewery.

Keleng again?....brew moonshine...what is not new?

No license to sell beer, no pay liquor tax, and no sell after 10pm. If sinkie he be squatting in jail now!

Beer is cheap. Cost of living in Singapore is enormous.
So here come all the cheap solutions. But government is having none of these.

Locals must pay "protection money", the government protects you from the "evils" of the world; while the evil of the world is viewed as talents is protected from you....ha ha ha ha
