My suspicion is that Spore has never been a 1st world country.

1st world country means every citizens has a roof over their heads, running water, uninterrupted power supply, full employment & no poverty.

That doesnt mean that Sporeans has to finance a debt burden on housing, pay expensive water & electricity bill. Now we face unemployment & we have more & more beggars on the streets.
Dont get me started on the the cost of private & public transport!!!!!
