hahaha...for me, sad to say it is big NO.
income cannot keep pace with costs of living; especially for big ticket items like housing, car, petrol, utilities....

Another sad thing is that the opposition is always shooting itself in the foot.
Everyone wants to the boss; new parties formed as if the scene is not crowded enough; putting self interest above all else like the fallout in SPP/SDA.

Regardless if things get better or not, the people will always vote for PAP. That is loyalty and patriotism.

Sad to say but yes - I am better off than four years ago.

My income has risen over the years and I am now earning more than I was before. I don't speculate in shares or property, spend within my means and focus on doing my job better through constant upgrading.

I am content with what I have even though I don't live in a big house. I have a decent but not excessive level of comfort which includes a small Japanese car, a HDB flat and most importantly a caring family.

I take pride that my country is stable, unlike the neighbouring countries or the rest of the world. When financial or natural crises hit every countries in the world, I am glad that mine has the resilience to withstand the downfall and rise back quickly to enjoy stable growth.

We are 4 times worse off today when compared to the last GE 4 years ago.

Unfortunately, I don't belong to the 'rich'' or ''richers'' club. I happen to be an average S'porean. I spend all I have so will never be rich.
