Singapore confirms 18th case of H1N1

A 36-year old Filipino female who works in Singapore has become the republic's 18th confirmed Influenza A H-1-N-1 case.

She returned to Singapore from Manila on Philippines Airlines flight P-R 501 which touched down on 8 June at 1835hrs and was seated at row 6.

The Filipino woman was admitted to C-D-C for further assessment this afternoon and laboratory results confirmed her infection shortly before 5 P-M (eds: 1645hrs)

She has relatively mild symptoms, and is in stable condition.

The Health Ministry says contact tracing has been initiated for the 18th confirmed case.

Passengers within rows 4 to 8 on flight P-R 501 on 8th June who have not been contacted by the ministry should call the hotline at 1-800-333-9999.
